The Potomac Science Center, located at George Mason University near the mouth of the Occoquan River, is a 50,808 SF, four-story office and lab building constructed of poured-in-place concrete, brick veneer, a ventilated wood panel system, an expansive curtainwall and glazing system, and a feature metal panel system.

E.E. Reed was responsible for all related interior improvements including an exhibit hall, lecture hall and classrooms, labs for teaching and research, offices and a SCIF (high-security room). The building interior features LEED certified products and a DOAS HVAC system. Related site improvements include wooden boardwalks and docks facilitating access to the river and pond that border the site and a 64,975 SF, three-level, 200-car, precast parking garage.
